Actually my answer is No, because I don't buy new cars ever. No way am I spending $22,000 on a car to get only a few more miles to the gallon. I have 2 mini vans that get 30mpg each. I bought them both for under $1000 each about 5 years ago. If one breaks down we drive the other one and my husband fixes the one that's down. My insurance is cheap, the repairs are cheap, and if every vehicle in America would get over 22mpg, we would not need a single drop of foreign oil. That would give us plenty of time to come up with alternative fuel (I say ethanol from sugar would be a start but Congress won't drop the import duty. And sugar grows fast and doesn't strip the land. It's a sustainable biofuel and our buying it would really boost south American economies.) I feel I'm already doing my part.
